- Passport (Visas attainable at the airport for most nationals, please check on this yourself)
- Travel insurance
- Tickets
- Medical form
- Copies of passport pages, insurance
- Cash in $USD, $AUD or South African Rand (ATM’s available)
- Credit cards (for back-up, Visa and Mastercard Cards)
- Driver’s license (if applicable)
Clothing (Neutral coloured for
the bush)
- Long pants
- Long-sleeve shirt
- Good quality hiking boots (try to wear new boots in before arrival)
- Shoes/sandals (for around the camp)
- Shorts, t-shirts etc.
- Swimming gear (optional)
- Socks, underwear etc. (quality socks are great for patrols)
- Leatherman/knife (not in your carry on luggage!)
- Warm clothes (jackets, thermals etc. for the Winter months)
- PT gear (clothes for exercising, running etc.)
- Sun/bush hat
- Sunglasses
Equipment
- Insect repellant
- Sun screen (factor 30+)
- Medication (i.e. malaria tabs, personal, consult your doctor)
- Towel & wash kit
- Sleeping bag (it gets cold at night and in the Winter don’t bring tropical gear)
- Sleeping pad/mat (optional)
- Camelback, water bottle (preferably 2 litres+)
- Personal webbing (optional)
- Field notebook & pen (for wildlife observations)
- Day pack
- Camera/video camera
- Extra batteries
- Head torch/torch
